His past experiences have spanned across supply, consultancy, and technology, as well as advisory roles for the UK Government’s Net Zero Energy Council.
Paul leads the DSO Flexibility Markets Team at Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN). With over 30 years of experience in the electricity industry, he specialises in flexibility market design, stakeholder engagement, and operational delivery, helping to unlock the value of flexible energy resources. In this session, Paul will share practical, real-world insights into how SSEN is innovating and operationalising flexibility at scale, alongside its leadership in shaping a future “build and flex” approach to enable efficient network development and faster electrification.
